Alexia is a great friend of Liesl’s. They met in their later years at York House, but their friendship really became strong after University. Alexia has just finished her law degree and is now living in Vancouver. Liesl is very excited to have her great friend back in the city with her.

Elizabeth and Liesl grew up together. They were joined at the hip ever since they were babies. They both went to York House and then they both became teachers. While growing up, they had the best nickname for each other…that one you will have to ask one of us for! We are very excited to announce that Elizabeth and Gary are recently engaged and will be tying the knot this coming August. Congratulations!!!

Liis is Brett’s younger sister. She is a teacher on Saltspring Island. Liesl is really looking forward to getting to know her more and calling her a sister. Liesl will try to aim the bouquet her way

Robyn has been a wonderful friend to Liesl ever since grade 7 at York House. Robyn is a caring and an exceptional nurse at VGH. If anyone becomes ill at the wedding she may be willing to assist…if she leaves the dance floor. We are also very excited to announce that Robyn and Brad are also engaged! Brad asked Robyn while watching the sunrise on a volcano in Hawaii. They too, are getting married this coming August. Congratulations!!!

Sarah is like a sister to Liesl. They have spent every summer on the beach in Naramata swimming, relaxing, and napping. Their most recent favourite activity has been all of those things while sipping caesars. These caesars are well deserved because Sarah is an extremely accomplished PhD student at Princeton University. She has been highly recognized for her work and she is on the road to finishing her research. Sarah also spends a lot of time teaching in the New Jersey prison. Liesl had a fantastic time visiting one Thanksgiving in Sarah’s adorable Philadelphia apartment…yes Liesl did climb the Rocky stairs. Liesl is looking forward to spending many more summers in Naramata together.

James and Brett met while they both were attending school in Victoria, where their weekly trips to the record store every Tuesday likely cost them both a letter grade. James is a Real Estate Agent in Vancouver.

Manu is a German who Brett met while watching lunchtime Champions League Soccer at the University of Victoria student bar. Over many beers and matches they became great friends. Be sure to ask him about his PHD studies at Kings College, London on the subject of Soviet Sports.

Ryan is Liesl’s older brother. Like Brett, he works in software. Judy, Liesl’s mother, is very excited that Ryan is in the wedding party so he can keep a watchful eye on Brett while on the Bachelor Party.

Torben is Brett’s younger brother. He, like most people involved with this wedding, is a teacher. He uniquely though, holds the destination of living the most North of all the wedding party in Fort St John.
